This past year has been very exciting for our organization. First and foremost, we want to announce our name change to "The International Association of Sickle Cell Nurses and Professional Associates". Our primary audience has been and will continue to be nursing and mid-level medical professionals serving people with sickle cell disease; however, IASCNAPA felt changing the name to include all professional associates was more inclusive. Our acronym stays the same, and IASCNAPA wants to encourage anyone interested in advocating and treating people with sickle cell disease to be a part of our mission and our organization. Please join us in celebrating our new name!!!
Welcome to the official site of the International Association of Sickle Cell Nurses and Professional Associates (IASCNAPA). The association was established in 1990, and membership is open to healthcare professionals and individuals advocating or providing care for people with sickle cell disease.
IASCNAPA provides a platform for nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, sickle cell advocates, and other healthcare professionals caring for individuals with sickle cell disease to improve the care of people with sickle cell disease through advocacy, standardized practice, and education.
